Is it safe to have Anal sex during the six weeks after labor that you aren’t supposed to have vaginal sex?

anal sex
Jewels asked:

Me and My husband are really going crazy. I’ve gotten my body back for the most part, and I still have four weeks to go on the whole no sex allowed thing after giving birth to our new little girl. I was wondering if it would be safe to have anal sex until I’m allowed to have vaginal again? lol. I know its a funny question, I just don’t know! I really want to be intimate with my husband though. Help.

Lol, you must be very feisty, I wouldn’t have let anyone near me with a bargepole haha!!

I would guess that, if you didn’t tear, you’d be fine, but I’d say if you had anything over a 2nd degree tear maybe leave it or ask your doctor!

Edit* Don’t forget the good old clitoris!

Sure as long as you arent experiencing any hemorrhoid symptoms (soreness or light bleeding from rectum)

I only waited 10 days until I had sex after baby (no tears or episiotomy)
because we were going crazy! This time I will wait a bit longer. :)
go slow be gentle have fun!!!!

I don’t see why not, but I also know that you don’t HAVE to wait 6 weeks. It really is up to you if you are comfortable. After my first we waited 4 weeks and after my second we didn’t even wait 2 weeks.

still be gentle, and ensure you clean up well afterwards. the main reason for no sex is so you don’t get an infection. so, take care of any wounds on the outside!

Wow your brave lol There is no reason why you cant do it though… i couldnt imagine it would be too comfortable but thats up to you. To be honest if you feel ok to have ‘normal’ sex then i dont see the problem… i know a lady that only waited 3 weeks after birth - although she did get pregnant again only 3 weeks after lol ouch!

As long as you feel comfortable and everyhting isnt too tender down there- go for it!

You can have sex earlier. If you feel up to it then go for it. We did and it was really kind of painful but not horrible. I had the worst hemorrhoids ever so that wasn’t happening here. :)

I don’t see why not, with our first I had an episiotomy, labial and internal stitches, couldn’t wait for much longer than a week so we did, just be careful.
